A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk email messages, but this issue can be resolved using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of features, but it is incredibly user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section alphabetically and you will only need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the given email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled with ease if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll notice a small-size symbol conveniently situated directly next to each one. With only one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
